As a new mother, Traciana noticed in playgroups and parks that new mothers are soothing and nurturing to their children but are not nurtured or soothed by their peers. Just a look at the raging media debate surrounding post-partum depression and whether it’s a “made up” malady is a great example of how new mothers’ voices are not always taken seriously, or given the attention they deserve. Many women who, without support and nurturing from the people around them, turn away from their personal goals, dreams and growth in lieu of raising a family.
